Rainy season continues in Japan...

The rainy season at where I live normally comes around the month of June...
This year, it has really been very 'rainy'...
The rains had arrived early at the end of May, and we have had rain almost every day since...

But God is kind... Especially on the one weekend when we had friends over...
There was home-made rice sushi...
which was healthy and tasty...

My missus made some hotcakes...
Topped with some peanut butter...
Plain, but delicious...

For the fruit course, we simply had the 'smile cut' oranges...

Nothing fancy but an afternoon well spent with friends...
There was some leftovers... fried chicken, boiled egg...
Which came in handy for our lunch the next day...

  1. Rainy days in KL too. Had to brave the rain walking to office today but it's nice to have a cool morning instead of sweating buckets for a change. ^^

What a nice afternoon spent with friends. Lovely selection of food.

  3. Do you still cycle to work in the summers heat? That must be tough to do.

  4. The summer heat is Japan is stifling and very uncomfortable as you may know... these days, no cycling because of the rain and the heat too... plus, soooo much work to do and catch up at the univ...

  6. You always have nice healthy food at your place as compared to our 'sinful' roti canai and nasi lemak..haha. Rainy at your place hot over in KL with isolated showers. Yesterday morning was pouring early in the morning.

  8. Bananazஇ... forgive me for 'showing off' a little, but I think I agree with your comment on the many 'sinful' food in Msia... while they taste great, they are almost always bad for the body...
