First experience in chain-sawing...

As usual, weekends equal noodles...
This rice vermicelli was with chicken breast meat, mushrooms, carrots, bean sprouts, green onions, among other goodies...

Bought a pair of safety boots with 'toe guard'...
Don't wish to have my toes accidentally cut when using the chain saw...

Similarly, got hold of a sturdy, safety helmet...
Don't plan to have my head knocked by a falling tree when chain-sawing...

First experience ever, using a chain saw to cut logs...
Fully (almost) equipped with helmet, goggles, multiple layered clothes, leather gloves, safety boots...
Had a neighbor giving me private lessons a day before on how to start the engine, how to engage the saw, and how to stop the engine...
He even taught me know to dismantle the chain for cleaning after use... what a guy...

  1. What a good neighbour you have! Your bowl of noodles looks delicious! I know that I am new to your blog, but I really like your space here. I've extended an award for you, would be happy if you could accept it. Come over to pick it up when you can, when you are not busy with your chain-sawing... ! ^..^ Thank you!

  2. KF... when we bought this house, we felt like we were in 'cloud nine' by just looking at the natural green around and the nearness to the sea... then, when we started getting to know the neighbors, we became increasingly convinced that we might have bumped into 'paradise'... we have been here for five years, and the enthusiasm, the excitement of living here has not subsided... a major, major part of all these is due to my wife Y, for sure... but an award? This is absolutely new to me... shall immediately jump over to see...

  4. I hope you get a lot of use from our chain saw. It was nice of your neighbor to give you tips on using it. Many years ago I cut up my own firewood using a chain saw. I've moved since then so I get my wood delivered after it has been cut to size.
Thank you for visiting my site. To answer your question, in this house we have an open fireplace with a built-in blower.
