Start of rainy season

Am sitting inside the house on a Sunday morning, listening to the rain falling on leaves...
The rainy season this year comes a few days later than is normally expected.
It is good for my plants...
This morning, got up at 5:10 am, as usual...
Missus was still asleep, so decided to prepare breakfast...
Now, where should I start, I wondered...
Started with preparing the cocoa drink for me (van houten with milk, raisins and oats) and tea (strong, so two sachets, plus milk and oats) for the missus...

Placed the concoctions inside a pot to keep them hot...
Next was the 'pizza toast'...
On homemade bread, laid the cheese, and on top of it, fresh onions and bell peppers...
On 'semi-homemade' yoghurt, which my missus made from purchased milk, went cashew nuts, almond nuts, 'vineger-ed' prunes, fresh as well as preserved strawberry, and fresh mulberries...
A few leaves of lettuce and sticks of cucumber, plus homemade pickles of carrots, cucumbers, and celery...
Finally, homemade banana cake heated up and topped with Kiwi honey...
Almost always, it is my missus who prepares the food, so it was a bit unusual for me to do it, even partially...
This morning, under supervision, a hearty breakfast nevertheless...
Evaluation by missus: 80 points...

  1. Wow sir, you're such a good 'hand-lender'. Good for you and your missus. Need to improve for the remaining 20 points ya (if it is over 100...hehe).

  2. Missus was very happy upon waking up and seeing a man in the kitchen, struggling...

Men, many men to my knowledge, including yours truly, become too lazy with these things after kawin... take for granted that the missus will do...

used to do all these things before kawin, but after that fateful ceremony, forget all...

need to 're-do' the cooking things in the weekends, at least, breakfast...
