Joined my suweeto haato for a walk last weekend...
Five minutes from our place lies the beach...
A fisherman or two trying out their luck on the Japanese 'needle-fish'...
A few more minutes down the path, we found some workmen felling trees in an area where there was a landslide...
And some hours later, we returned to the site with our gear... wooh, very nice ubame oak (native to Japan) logs that are most appropriate for the wood stove....
The second shot is so cool. You're very nice fisher.
ReplyDeleteThank you... that fisherman is probably from a neighboring town, I think...
DeleteFishing and collecting woods, you're ready for the winter!
ReplyDeleteYeap, I am ready...
DeleteFunny we have been doing the same things here.getting ready for winter.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you in your preparation...
DeleteWonder what is "needle fish". Great that you've found the oaks!
ReplyDeleteIn Japanese, they are called 'sayori'... long, about 30 cm... a little thicker than an adult's thumb... white flesh, almost translucent... very tasty fish...
