The weekend of 14th and 15th April was pure bliss...
Our Somei-yoshino sakura tree, in full bloom... and cloudless blue skies in the backdrop...
But this angle too, is equally nice...
Move a few steps, and we see onions and rape flowers in the field...
Still, the water body beckons...
Now, my missus says the top picture is the best...
and I wouldn't argue with that either...
The Somei-yoshino sakura is purportedly the most popular sakura in all Japan...
It is a hybrid between two (wild) species, the Oshima sakura (found around Izu area) and the Ezo-higan sakura (found in Hokkaido)...
Your photos are also great. I like the close up photos. They can show the beauty of the blossoms.
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a lovely scenery you get to enjoy everday, Lrong. :)
beautiful beautiful beautiful...ALL!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful trees and have such gorgeous flowers! I love the name sakura too!
ReplyDeleteThe blossoms in all your pictures are beautiful, and the scenery around your house is beautiful. I hate to disagree with your wife, but I think the second photo is magnificent.
ReplyDeleteEvery photo is beautiful in whatever angle. The artists are very successful in capturing these flowers in making artificial cloths because those i see here looks really like your last photo. Is Sakura the japanese term for cherry blossoms?
ReplyDeleteMy hubby has lovely memories of the blossoms . There's always this to view and enjoy should I visit Japan. Sooo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Theanne, really beautiful!
